Ebeny Amstrong – Tapez-Tapez

Atlanta based artist, Ebeny Amstrong takes it to the next level with newly released album ‘Tapez-Tapez (Open and Close) – You Mess your Life, You Pay the Price‘. Original, and non-political, this album is refreshingly entertaining and educative, it’s main message reminding listeners of the consequences of their actions – when you drink and drive, be ready to face the consequences, when young people squander their school fees and opportunities to stay in school and end up skill-less and frustrated, they are paying the price for irresponsibility. Tapez-Tapez also calls for an end to the killings of innocent women and children in war-torn Cote d’Ivoire. Other singles like ‘Na Ma Day’ (it’s my day), and Thinking of You certainly bring a unique flavor also.

Eben Amstrong popularly known as Ebeny Amstrong, has master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of London; he is a Senior Biomedical Engineer at Medshare International. His passion for music started at a young age, a talent that was nurtured and encouraged by his mother (RIP) and step mother (RIP) who both inspired him to sing. At the age of 10, he was captain and conductor of his school band; at 15, he began playing the guitar.

His first album released in March 2009 was dedicated to the people of his village and the less privileged; The main song Baninghe (Water) was a reflection on the struggles of the indigenes of Upper Balong (Manyemen, Betock and Ebanga) to bring pipe borne water to three villages; The song ‘Baninghe’ pays homage to the men and women who worked tirelessly to make this possible – carrying stones, sand and gravel and laboring tirelessly for 25 years and today, the people of this area enjoy clean, pipe borne water. “It’s my place to tell these stories through the song ‘Baninghe’,” he says, “so that the younger generation will remember the struggles of those before them.”

Ebeny Amstrong not only has a deep passion for music, he also has a heart for the people. A world traveler (who has visited over 38 countries where he has helped install medical equipment and trained Hospital personnel), he supports charities worldwide and is very much involved in his community as patron of groups like the Harmony Sisters, United Sisters of GA, Able Ladies, Cameroonian Women of GA, Gwinnet Girls, Atlanta Lions, Dynamo FC etc. He is also involved in the organization of medical missions to Cameroon.

Put your dance shoes on, your thinking caps on and connect with this dynamic, young man. ‘Tapez-Tapez’ (Open and Close) – You Mess Your Life, You Pay The Price, is now available at cdbaby, and Pan African Allstars.

Ebeny would like to thank fans all over the world, supporters who have encouraged him over the years and those who have and continue to inspire him.
