YOU ARE A WINNER

YOU ARE A WINNER

There are people who refuse to settle for less. This does not mean that everything on their paths becomes perfect and right; these people normally meet up with many different obstacles. For those who refuse to settle for mediocrity, the journey is not always smooth and glamorous; it is normal to encounter rejection, negativity, push backs and sometimes failure. In the solace of our minds we sometimes go through periods when we are feeling discouraged, frustrated, hopeless; when in the middle of the night, tears of uncertainty well up and silently soak through our pillows as we search for answers, not knowing if and how to continue but at the end of it all, success comes to those who summon the courage to lift themselves up and continue, for at the end of the day they turn their obstacles to stepping stones. These are people with your kind of spirit, might, strength, and attitude.

It is important to push back and fight these feelings of defeat. Our inner dialogue should be about persisting to the finish line.

There will finally come a day when all the sowing and heavy lifting is done and the flowers of your hard work begin to blossom in the bright light of success.

Cherish the relationship with those (maybe not too many) who believe in you and cheer you on; collaborate with those who coach, motivate and inspire you; and most importantly, do not give up! For success comes by digging deep. The price for success is often paid upfront no credits, no loans here. Whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, go out there and win. You are a winner you shall overcome, it don’t matter if it’s now, the next minute or next hour, or next day, or next month or even next year. Remember as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.

The Seven Deadly Joy Busters

The Seven Deadly Joy Busters

As believers in God, there are places where we should definitely not, any circumstances, even think of parking.

Do not park by life’s defeats. Where has life gotten you down? Don’t park there! Move on.

Do not park at anger. Storing up hostility will only boomerang on you in the long run.

Do not park at escape. There is no good time for quitting. Don’t give up – get going.

Do not park at discouragement. Optimism actually promotes physical as well as emotional healing.

Do not park at worry. Think on what is right and true and lovely (Phillipians 4:8). Who knows what possibilities are just around the corner?

Do not park at guilt. Move on by receiving Jesus as your Savior, accepting God’s forgiveness, and freely forgiving others. Put the past behind you. Begin again. Learn all you can from your mistakes, and with God’s help, make a u-turn at each one.
